Physical processes such as erosion, transport, and deposition, which may be more important in
riverine systems, may be described with sediment transport models ranging in complexity from HEC-6
(USACE 1990) and SEDZL frameworks (Ziegler and Lick 1986) to screening level approaches such
as the in-place pollutant export model (IPX) developed by Velleux et al. 1994.
